Replacing ingredients with Coconut milk/oil

I have recently learned about replacing your cooking ingredients with coconut oil and coconut milk. They are really easy to find in any grocery store. I found them both in the baking section at HEB, the coconut milk was 2 for $4 (which is cheaper than cows milk), and a large container of coconut oil was around $5. But they will both last you a while. Coconut milk is the most nutritious and a delicious substitute for cows milk. It really compliments fruits, this morning I made a delicious smoothie, using coconut milk in place of sugar (which can be really high in sugar), adding berries, protein powder, and a tablespoon of honey.
It will help keep your skin clear, give you more energy, 10% more calcium, and great for your teeth! I read on the livestrong website that it reduces body fat as well.
"Consuming coconut oil rather than long-chain fatty acid oils, such as olive oil or soybean oil, promotes and maintains weight loss. Coconut oil increases the caloric rate and produces heat and energy quickly from food. Animals fed medium-chain triglycerides oils; had smaller fat pads and showed a reduction in a number of key adipogenic or fatty tissue genes." (ww.livestrong.com)
