18 Ways to Prevent Weight Gain

I found all of these 18 ways to prevent weight gain on All Women Stalk and loved it! Very motivating and simple and to the point!! Exactly how everyone should live their daily lives, and inspire their friends and families to live as well!

3. Find a role model
4. Know your calorie needs
5. Learn portion sizes
6. Try for five (One of the best ways to prevent weight gain is to be very careful that you’re eating your USDA-recommended 5 servings of fresh fruits and veggies every day!)
7. Try for the other five (It’s also a good idea to help prevent weight gain by eating five small meals a day, rather than 3 large meals. Eating small meals all day long will keep your metabolism rocking, burning up calories, and help you stay fit and trim!)
8. Shop the perimeter (I have discussed this a lot in my blog, shopping the perimeter of the store prevents you from buying processed foods, and only the fruits you need to be putting in your body)
9. Consider meatless mondays
10. Realize you're an example (If you have children, you need to set a good example for them. Teach them from a young age to be active, and make healthy choices eating. Do it together, make it fun! Cook together, play together outside, and be active!)
11. Ditch the soda! (There are zero nutrients in sodas, by cutting out sodas you can lose 20lbs in  6 months!!!)
12. Cut diet sodas too! (the artificial sweeteners in diet soda trigger your brain to expect extra goodies (like sugar). When the soda doesn’t deliver, your body will have an actual physical craving for them, which makes junk-food snacking a nearly sure bet. The quick version — ditching soda of all types of one of the best ways to prevent weight gain.)
13. Keep hydrated! (Sometimes when you think you are hungry, you are actually thirsty, this can help you from overeating)
14. Forget fast food (You don't know where all your food is coming from, you don't know what they are putting in it, and no matter what it is, it is healthier if you cook it! Simple as that!)
15. Watch the coffee (drink in moderation, some coffees can have as many calories as a meal)
16. Don't eat while distracted (you tend to eat more when you aren't paying close attention to eating)
17. Don't eat out of the bag (You will eat more than the actual serving size, pour the serving size you need into a separate bowl)
18. Pay attention to your clothes (sometimes new trends have baggy clothes and pants, but sometimes you will let yourself go if you aren't wearing fitted clothing. By wearing your fitted clothes, it will encourage you to stay looking great!)
